How do I get to the start area of the Supernova Forth Road Bridge?

You will get to and from the Forth Road Bridge using the Supernova event buses that depart from Gyle Shopping Centre.These are included in your entry.

How old do I have to be to take part in the Supernova Forth Road Bridge?

Due to health and safety on the Forth Road Bridge, the minimum age of anyone taking part in the event is 12 years old, and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Can I take part in the Supernova Forth Road Bridge using a wheelchair or handbike?

Yes, we welcome entries from wheelchair and handbike users. Anyone entering with a wheelchair or handbike will start the event at the same time as all other participants taking part in the evening.

I would like my carer/guide to run with me - how do I arrange this?

A carer, guide or any other runner in a support role is eligible for an entry at no cost. They MUST set up their own 'MyRunning' account and create an entry into the relevant event. Once at the payment stage, email us using the Contact Us form at the bottom of this page, explaining your support role and we can manually approve your entry free of charge. This MUST happen prior to the entry cut off date or you will not be able to take part.

You will be contacted on or before 8th April 2024 with your result.

Why do I need to choose a charity during the Supernova Forth Road Bridge application process?

During the application process, you will be asked to select a charity but are under no obligation to fundraise.

However, we believe that any small step to create awareness for the incredible work charities do, can help change thousands of lives for the better. For this reason, during the ballot application process, we are asking every single person to choose a charity to link their application to.

Can I enter the Supernova Forth Road Bridge ballot on behalf of someone else?

Yes. If you want to take part in the experience with others, it's best for one person to apply for the ballot on behalf of everyone in the group. You'll need the email addresses of anyone you want to apply on behalf of to make the application.

What happens to my entry fee if I'm unsuccessful in the Supernova Forth Road Bridge ballot?
You will be contacted if you are successful or unsuccessful in the ballot. If you're unsuccessful, you will need to log in to your MyRunning account and choose one of the following options.
- Join the waiting list: If a person or group with an Approved entry can no longer attend and withdraw from the event, we will reallocate those places to a person or group on the waiting list. The waiting list is limited to 1,000 places.
- Enter the 2026 Supernova Forth Road Bridge Ballot: You will not be required to pay any entry fee increases. You (and anyone else you entered the 2025 ballot on behalf of) will receive a preferential weighting on your 2026 ballot application.
- Add a MyRunning voucher to your account: A voucher totalling the value of your application will be added to your MyRunning account within the next 3-5 working days. You’ll be able to redeem this on any of our events within the next 12 months.
- Receive a full refund: Your refund will reach you within 3-5 working days and be sent to the payment card you used to make your ballot application.
- Donate your application fee to your chosen charity: Your donation will support the incredible work with your chosen charity does and help them to continue changing thousands of lives for the better.
Please note that if you do not respond to let us know what you would like to do with your entry fee by April 2025, we will defer your ballot application to the 2026 Supernova Forth Road Bridge.

I would like my carer/guide to run with me - how do I arrange this?

A carer, guide runner or any other support role is eligible for an entry at no cost.

If the person you are caring for or guiding is successful in the ballot, please create a MyRunning account and use the 'Contact Us' form at the bottom of this page, explaining your support role and we will manually create an entry for you into the event.

No, all participants must start and finish from the travel hub, located at Gyle Shopping Centre, due to health and safety reasons.

Dogs are not permitted unless it is a registered guide dog.

Can spectators watch the Supernova Forth Road Bridge?

Due to health and safety, only those who have an approved entry and are participating can attend the event on the bridge. No spectator tickets will be available for the event buses.

Yes. to do this:

Where can I find out more information about the Supernova Forth Road Bridge?

Your Event Information Pack as soon as you have an approved entry within your MyRunning account.

Your pack is personalised to you. We will continue to add more detailed information in the lead up to the event. When there are big changes to the pack, we will email you prompting you to log in and see any updates.

I haven’t got my event number, can I get a replacement?

If you haven’t received your pack by the event weekend, you can pick up a replacement number at the Event Number Station at the event travel hub, located at Gyle Shopping Centre.

If you registered with an address out with the UK, you must collect your Event Number from the Event Number Station at the travel hub, located at Gyle Shopping Center No overseas Event Packs will be sent out.

If you are successful in the ballot but are unable to participate, please withdraw your entry so this can be allocated to someone on the waiting list.

What time does the Supernova Forth Road Bridge start?

Upon being successful in the ballot, a time slot will be allocated to you. This time slot will indicate when you should arrive at the Supernova Travel Hub for the start of your experience.

What happens if i join the waiting list but still do not get a place in the Supenova Forth Road Bridge?

The waiting list will be open until Monday 30 September 2024.

If you are still not successful by this date, you and your group will be rolled over to the 2025 ballot and will receive preferential weighting in the draw, meaning that being successful in 2025 is more likely for you than new ballot applicants.

Will I receive a finisher’s pack or medal?

After you cross the Finish Line, you will be congratulated by our Finish Marshals and you will receive your finishers pack full of goodies!

Yes, please email us using the Contact Us form at the bottom of this page, explaining which charity you would like to change to.

If the charity is not listed on our website, you are still welcome to create a JustGiving page via the 'Fundraising' section in your MyRunning account and raise money for them.

Will there be disabled parking available for the Supernova Forth Road Bridge?

Yes, disabled parking will be available at Gyle Shopping Centre. If you come across any issues an on-site marshall will be able to assist you.

Yes, there will be some available at Gyle Shopping Centre and also the event site at the Forth Road Bridge.

Will there be somewhere I can put my bag for the Supernova Forth Road Bridge?

There will be a baggage facility on-site at the start area of the event, which is located at the Forth Road Bridge.

Your Baggage Tag has your number printed on it, it will be delivered to you in your Event Pack with your Event Number. You need to attach your Baggage Tag to your bag before handing it over to a member of the Baggage Team. If you are not using the event baggage facility please dispose of your Baggage Tag appropriately.

Will there be medical support at the Forth Road Bridge?

Yes, there will be a Medical Team on-site to assist if any emergencies occur during the event. See your GP if you have a condition that makes it a risk for you to take part in this event.

If you have information that would be helpful to the Medical Team should you require medical assistance, please ensure that we have all relevant information about the medical condition and medication you are taking.

Can I wear earphones or headphones during the Supernova Forth Road Bridge?

No, as some areas may be darker, it is essential that you listen to Marshal instructions, be aware of other participants around you and enjoy the attractions responsibly.

For this reason, the use of headphones at the event is not permitted.

How do I get back to the Supernova Forth Road Bridge travel hub after I have finished the event?

Once you have crossed the finish line and received your finishers pack, you will be directed to board an event transport bus back to the travel hub at Gyle Shopping Centre.

Can I order a medal insert for Supernova Forth Road Bridge?

Yes, you can order a medal insert from our website within our shop, or during your entry process. Medal inserts can no longer be purchased after event day.

Yes, our photographers will be capturing your official photos from 2024 Supernova Forth Road Bridge. However, we can not guarantee that everyone will receive official photos due to capacity.

If you can’t find your running club listed in the drop down menu, please contact us using the form below and we can add it to the list for you. To update your running club at any time, all you need to do is alter your information in the ’My Personal Details’ section which can be accessed via the "My Profile" section of your ’My Running account.

Will I get a Medal?

Everyone will receive a Finisher's medal on completion of the event.

The status of my entry says 'awaiting completion' what do I do?

If your entry says 'awaiting completion' this means you have a place in the event, but need to fill out some personal details in order to confirm your entry.

You'll see the information you need to complete as soon as you log in to your MyRunning account.

Once this is done, your entry will be approved.

All refunds for the Supernova Forth Road Bridge have now been processed. If your refund does not show in your bank by Monday 8th April, please contact your bank provider.

Do I have to go back to Gyle Shopping Centre after I've completed the event?

All participants must start their Supernova Forth Road Bridge experience from the Gyle Shopping Centre Travel Hub.

When you finish your walk, jog, or run, please use the event transport to exit The Forth Road Road Bridge. There are no parking or participant pick-up points at the Forth Road Bridge.

To view your training plan, please go to your entry on your MyRunning dashboard. You will see that you have a 'Training Plans' area. If you click on this, you will be able to choose the training plan level that you want, and see your training plan.

How do i add a child to my account?

First login into you 'MyRunning' account, press the three white lines at the top right of your screen.

Then select the button 'My profile', once selected you will notice the section 'Add a child to my account'. Click the button and fill in the required information.

Once you have completed all your child's details, select the button 'ADD CHILD' and you will be able to view your child's profile in the 'My profile' page if you scroll to the bottom of the page.
